Cleaning the dishwasher

The dishwasher deserves your weekly attention

The dish washer makes sure your plates, cutlery, glasses and pots stay clean. But this useful machine needs some maintenance as well to do its job and maintain its effectiveness. Limescale, food and grease can get into the filters and clog your dishwasher. Use the following tips to clean your dishwasher:

  • Completely empty your dishwasher.
  • The filter needs to be cleaned weekly. Remove the filter and clean it with a soft brush in some soapy water containing Feem Active Cleaner.
  • Rinse well with water and put the filter back in its place.
  • Clean the holes in the sprayer arms with a tooth pick. These can contain limescale after a while.
  • Clean the door’s rubber seal regularly with a moist cloth. A lot of dirt can pile up there as well. Don’t forget the outside of dishwasher either.

Tip: Remove food scraps from your plates before you put them in the machine. Try and do this this environment-friendly: don’t use water, but a cloth or the used napkins.

Does your dishwasher smell bad? Add some drops of lemon juice and switch it on as usual.
