pH level

Feem Active Cleaner is a unique concept

The pH level is a number that indicates the acidity of a product. The pH scale is subdivided gradually from 0 to 14.

  • pH < 7: called acidic
  • pH = 7: neutral
  • pH > 7: alkaline

Generally speaking, products with a pH lower than 3 or higher than 11 are considered aggressive. This kind of product can corrode different kinds of materials, as well as damage your skin. The image below gives an overview of the pH scale.

Acidic cleaners are often used to remove scale or rust. Alkaline cleaners are often very effective against all kinds of dirt and grease because of its saponifying action.

The pH value of a product doesn’t tell you everything, however. Feem Active Cleaner for example has a very high (> 11) pH, which would, logically, make it an aggressive product. This is not the case. When producing Feem Active Cleaner, we apply a unique concept to obtain this high pH level by using ‘synergetic’ action. This means that different substances are being combined to obtain a ‘cumulative’ effect. Different test reports show that Feem Active Cleaner is not corrosive on washable surfaces and not harmful for the skin. So Feem Active Cleaner is a very efficient and safe cleaning product!
