Washing windows without stripes
If you also think dirty windows are annoying, then you’ll know that washing your windows without leaving any stripes are a serious challenge. Here you can discover the technique to get perfectly clean windows.
Required items:
- Window squeegee
- Sponge
- Chamois cloth
- Microfibre cloth
- Bucket of water
- Feem Active Cleaner
- Possibly a dusting cloth
Technique:
- Make sure your window sill is completely empty and push the curtains aside. This makes your work much easier.
- Protect the floor by putting a mop or cloth underneath the window.
- Prepare some lukewarm, soapy water and add 15 ml of Feem Active cleaner to break surface tension. Put your bucket at a comfortable height so you don’t have to bend all the time.
- Don’t use too much Feem Active Cleaner because the residue will leave stripes on the windows.
- If your windows are really dirty, first use a dusting cloth to wipe away most of the dirt.
- Moisten the sponge in the soapy water and clean the windows from left to right, always working upwards. This will allow you to prevent leak stains.
- Take the window squeegee and dry all windows from top to bottom. Always make sure to cover a part of the last zone you wiped with the squeegee. Don’t stop in the middle of a window, because that will leave stains.
- Clean the rubber of the window squeegee each time with a moist chamois. A wet squeegee dries badly and leaves stripes.
- Clean the window frame and window sill.
- Rinse the microfibre cloth, sponge and chamois and hang them to dry.
Tip: Don’t clean your windows when the sun is shining on them. The windows will dry faster and more stripes will appear.
