Dusting's a true skill

Dust should be done away with - not brushed aside

Dusting well is a true art form. You want the dust to disappear and not just move. But how do you effectively and efficiently get rid of dust in your home? You’re about to discover it here!

While dusting, it’s important to work your way from the upper part to the lower part of the room. After all, all dust falls down. So it’s better to dust first and to vacuum and mop afterwards. Also, don’t forget to dust the places you don’t see: window frames, door tops, handles, etc.

Required items:

  • Dust cloth or microfibre cloth
  • Dust wiper
  • Feather duster (comes in handy when you have to reach something that's high)
  • Bucket of water
  • Duster and pan

Method:

  • Work from dry to wet. Use a dry cloth to dust.
  • Fold the cloth so the dust is on the inside and use a clean part every time.
  • Take a moist microfibre cloth to clean the surface thoroughly. That way, you prevent the dust from moving and creating piles of dust.
  • Use the feather duster for places that are out of reach.
  • Random dust can be removed with a duster and pan.
  • Don’t forget to regularly rid your dust cloth or feather duster of dust outside.

Important: vacuuming comes AFTER dusting
